Eat Drink & Be Mary: January 2018

Baby T Weeks 31-32

Due Date | March 25 BUT my guess is our little one will make their appearance March 31st.

Size | Baby T is the size of  a large bucket of movie popcorn or a large coconut -- close to 18 inches and about 4 pounds.

Gender | It's a BOY! {see our gender reveal here}

Name | Jackson "Cole" Timmerman

Symptoms |  my back pain is pretty bad after a full day of teaching and will occasionally get the sharpest pain inside my left hip when I adjust positions or get up off the couch to go somewhere.  and of course, peeing all the time.

Cravings |  ALL the ice!  Chic-Fil-A and Zaxbys ice are my faves, but I'm pretty sure the workers there think I'm i n s a n e since I'm there every other day ordering JUST water with extra ice in th drive-thru #sorrynotsorry

Hormones |  yeah, pretty moody.  poor Thomas and poor students....

Weight |  +2 pounds since me last apt. moving up to a +27 total so far.  I'm pretty pleased with only gaining two pounds these last three weeks after gaining 10 the previous five.

Clothing |  I can still fit in some non-maternity shirts, and leggnigs but other than that it's all maternity clothes from here on out.  And I STILL haven't bought any maternity work pants (is there even a point anymore?) so I legit wear dresses everyday.

Sleep | The pregnancy pillow that Thomas bought me for Christmas is still coming in clutch.  I don't know how I ever got by without it.

Nursery |  The nursery is officially cleaned out and only has baby boy's stuff in there.  Now to order the dressers and start organizing all his stuff in addition to all the goodies our little man got at my first baby shower this past weekend. We got the crib from my SIL yesterday and setting it up before the weekend!  {See the plans I have for his Safari Nursery in this post}

Purchases | I finally purchased the little hat for Cole's coming home outfit, and a couple sleepers that were on sale at Old Navy since he'll pretty much just be living in them the first couple months.  After the final baby shower, I'll figure out all the stuff we still need and get to work.

Fun Fact | At 32 weeks, Cole has a full set of finger nails and toe nails and is busy sucking his thumb.  Also, my Ovia app says he's probably head down at this point, but our little man is quite the active little fella and I'm pretty sure he's transverse (?) from my left hip across to my right side of the rib cage.

Best Moment of The Week |  Too many to just list one: A trip to NC to visit family and take our maternity pictures.  Thomas' college roommate and wife came to stay with us for the weekend.  And having Baby T spoiled at the baby shower my SIL threw us and getting to catch up with my best friends. {stay tuned for a post on this soon}

Looking Forward To |  My work shower is today, and my mom is throwing me a shower soon too.  AND getting the nursery finished and set up.

Next Apt. |  Feb. 12th, officially moved to every two weeks now

Weekly Essential Planner | making all. the. lists.

I'm not sure exactly when this began but I am such a planner.  And this babe on the way is only putting my planner-loving ways into overdrive.  Baby T's arrival along with the start of a new year had me in major need of a new planner, but I didn't know where to start.

Several months ago, I saw my friend Kelsey @ The Peacock Roost blog started her own company, Peacock Paper & Gifts.  I watched her facebook live on why she decided to start this company and was captured by her passion.  And I'm all about supporting small businesses, so I've been trying out their Essential Planner for the past couple weeks.

Y'all I love it.

It's cute and functional -- basically everything a planner should be.  ANDDD this planner won't break the bank.  On top of the affordable price, ALL the planners are on sale right now.  Yep, you can get my specific planner for $25 or check all of the planners out here.

AND lucky for y'all Kelsey gave me a code for y'all.  Use EDBM20 for 20% off.  On top of the sale that she's running.  SO basically, you could get my planner (Weekly Essential) for only $20.  #win

WEEKLY ESSENTIAL PLANNER | specific features I love

+ gifts & cards section on the monthly spread (this is where I keep track of birthday/anniversary gifts I need to buy each month)

+ pockets in the front and back of book to hold all the things -- currently nursery paint colors for a project I'm hoping to complete next week eek!

+ EVERY WEEK there is a spread that includes meal planning (literally perfect for us), household to do, and "don't forget"

writing down everything I want to do each week really helps declutter my brain (hello anxiety) and ensures I won't forget any of it (hello preggo brain).  There is also a weekly budget page on this same spread but Thomas does our budgeting but I can see how it would be super helpful if you were in charge of that.

+ a place for you to jot down meals, your water intake and to-dos for each day -- I'll take all the accountability I can get

Of course there are other features included in the planner such as monthly goals, vitamin and fitness checks, and spaces to write under each day BUT the above are the KEY factors that sold me on this particular planner.

OH, and at the very end of the planner there are tabs for travel planning, contacts and notes.  And that notes section is satisfying my need to make ALL. THE. LISTS. for preparing for Baby T right now.  Hospital bag needs, nursery to-dos, things to do before he name it I'm making a list for it.

..and the world's cutest helper when I'm making ALL the before-baby lists and meal planning

What are your planner must haves?  Have you heard of Peacock Paper & Gifts before?  What is one thing you suggest I/we do before Baby T gets here? Happy hump day loves.

DISCLAIMER:  I wasn't paid to write this post, however, I did receive the product to review.  All words and opinions are my own.

Baby T Weeks 28-30

Well hello there third trimester.  Y'all this pregnancy is truly flying.  But I feel like March is still so far away at the same time.  And as eager as I am to meet our little man, I'm loving being pregnant and enjoying every minute of it (ask me again in a month and I may have a different opinion ;)).  Keep cookin' away little dude!

And now for a little bumpdate from the past 3 weeks...

Due Date | March 25 BUT my guess is our little one will make their appearance March 31st.

Size | Baby T is the size of  a pineapple -- around 3 lbs and 16 inches long.

Gender | It's a BOY! {see our gender reveal here}

Name | Jackson "Cole" Timmerman

Symptoms |  honestly, not to much to complain about recently.  Still peeing all the time, if possible its even increased as of lately.  Also, possibly braxton hicks these past three weeks as well -- I described it to my doctor as really dull cramping similar to period cramps and his guess is braxton hicks and to make sure I'm hydrated.

Cravings |  ALL the Chic-Fil-A and Zaxbys ice please and thank you.  Oh and salads -- which is happily welcomed because the Christmas treats really got me this year.

my two yoga buddies | 28w2d

Hormones | this week I read that the mood swings will be returning and all I could think is Poor Thomas...because honestly I'm not so sure they ever left...

Weight |  +25 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight.  Yep, that's right I gained 10 pounds in the last 5 weeks.  YIKES!  My doctor still said my weight looks good and that it was an extra week, but I'm hoping that my next appointment will be a lot less.

Clothing |  I can still fit in some non-maternity shirts, and leggnigs but other than that it's all maternity clothes from here on out.

Sleep | The pregnancy pillow that Thomas bought me for Christmas finally came in (dern you postal shipping) and it is a GAME CHANGER!  I have slept so amazingly well the last couple of nights.  Other than my usual 2-3, sometimes four, potty trips.

Nursery |  We have finally started making some actual progress in here now that the holidays have passed.  I had been purchasing things for a while, but it's time to start putting it together.  We moved the office furniture out, and have started organizing things we already have.  I'm hoping to get the crib from my SIL and to paint the cube that was already in the office this week.    {See the plans I have for his Safari Nursery in this post}

Purchases | Several nursery purchases (here, here and here), and I've always got my eye out for cute clothes on sale.  Our first baby shower is in two weeks so I'm trying to hold off on most stuff until after that.

Fun Fact | At 30 weeks baby is now strong enough to grasp your finger,
and he will be putting on about a half a pound and half an inch for the next 10 weeks.

Best Moment of The Week | .My parents camp up for NYE and getting to hear our little man's heartbeat once again at our Jan. 8th apt. were both heart warming.

NYE 2017

Looking Forward To | A trip to NC and maternity pictures this weekend and our baby shower next weekend.  EEK!

Next Apt. |  January 29th
