Baby T Week 21-23

23 weeks

23 weeks

Due Date | March 25, 2018 BUT my guess is our little one will make their appearance March 31st.

Size | Baby T is the size of  a bunch of grapes or Barbie doll -- a little over a foot long (12.008 in, ha) and  20 ounces.

Gender | It's a BOY! {see our gender reveal here}

Symptoms |  headaches, heartburn and the never ending trips to the bathroom..

Cravings/Aversions |  no strong cravings or aversions, but 2 Thanksgivings was pure bliss.

22w4d - Thanksgiving Day

Hormones | Possibly less moody this week?  But Thomas might be the better judge of that.  ;)

Weight |  +10 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight.  I'm not gonna lie this kinda freaked me out, but my doctor was very happy with this so as long as it's healthy for the little babe I'm trying not to worry too much.

Clothing |  my 20 week update: I can still fit it all my normal clothes, however, button my jeans (that started pretty tight) is a struggle and fitting into my work pants is a struggle.  So I'm using the "hair band trick" on my jeans as well as the maternity pairs I purchased and am on the look out for some maternity work pants.

23 weeks: Baby Boy is so low that although I've just started to officially show and look pregnant, jeans are a no go.  AND the "hairband trick" is really pushing it.  Also, ZERO work pants fit so there's that...   BUT you can't beat stretchy, maternity pants around the holidays. #winning

Sleep | I pretty much toss and turn all night long, and my back has started to hurt.  ALL I want to do is sleep on my back, bur that's no happening any time soon.  I'm thinking a pregnancy pillow is in my future...any suggestions?

Nursery | I can't wait to share my ideas, working on a post about my ideas/inspiration this week.

Purchases | The buying has begun.  We have something for the nursery (that I mom actually got even before we knew it was a boy), I've bought an outfit or ten, and thanks to Black Friday sales I've ordered a baby book, name blanket and a couple other things.  I'll share them when they come in.

Fun Fact | At 23 weeks Baby T's hearing is more developed and therefore is kicking more in response to the stimuli -- mainly my heartbeat, my voice and LOUD noises.

Best Moment of The Week | Celebrating Thanksgiving with both sides of our families, picking out our Christmas tree and scoring some Black Friday sales.

Looking Forward To | Hearing little man's heartbeat again when I go in for our next appointment.

Baby T is a...

If you missed our announcement on Instagram this week, we had our geneder veal and...it's a boy!!

side note: earlier on in the pregnancy I was pretty convinced it was a girl, and around October I started waivering and considering it was  boy.  But about a week before our 20 week ultrasound I was suddenly convinced it was a little boy growing in there, and whaddya know.

When we first decided to do a gender reveal, I loved the excitement and build up of it all (and picture opportunity), and finding out with our families sounded like so much fun.  BUT I didn't want an over the top, everybody and their mama invited, stressing over the decorations and all event.  And I have to admit what we came up with was pretty darn perfect.

Our 20 week appointment was Tuesday, and we gave the gender scan to Thomas' friend the next day so he could fill the balloon up with the correct color paint and his girlfriend could make the cake.  Thankfully, neither one cracked or spilled the beans before Sunday.

We did the reveal first thing, and Thomas said shooting the balloon he was even more nervous than he had ever been with a deer.  And ever since I've been tickled pink to know we have a little man on the way.

side note: all the girls, my brother-in-law and father-in-law guessed girl.  Myself and all the rest of the boys guessed girl.

Once my eyes saw that blue paint, I screamed and Thomas threw up his hands in excitement.  I cried a couple tears of joy, and honestly, I almost started crying before he shot the balloon I was just so darn excited to find out about our little one. And then we took pictures and relaxed and hung out with our families.

all the happy tears!

At the reveal we had both of our families, and the friends that set up the balloon with paint and the cake.  The only decorations we used were the balloons on each side of the hay bale, and since everyone ate brunch prior we only had a couple desserts to snack on.  Seriously y'all, perfection.

My mom and I made blondies with pink and blue chocolate drops, my SIL make these delicious sausage and cream cheese croissants (that I definitely need to share on here), and Morgan made us the most gorgeous cake with ombre blue inside for our little man.  She may not know it yet, but she's basically going to be our family's official cake go-to now.  ;)

And now let the shopping for our little man begin.  Give me all the baby boy stuff!  Send your suggestions of sites/shops I should check out in the comments.

Baby T Week 20

distressed skinny jeans | Pink Blush Maternity

Due Date | March 25, 2018 BUT my guess is our little one will make their appearance March 31st.

Size | Baby T is the size of a banana at 10 inches (starting this week baby is measured from head to toe instead of head to rump) and 10.5 ounces.

Gender | we will find out with our families on Sunday (so keep your eyes on the lookout on Instagram) BUT until then I wanna know your guess; leave it in the comments below.  Is Baby T a boy or girl?

Thomas' guess: boy & has been since day 1

My guess: boy, something has come over me this past week and I'm pretty convinced it's a little boy in there

Symptoms |  heartburn and the never ending trips to the bathroom..

Cravings/Aversions |  still wanting lots of candy and Mexican food too, but no strong cravings or aversions

Clothing |  I can still fit it all my normal clothes, however, button my jeans (that started pretty tight) is a struggle and fitting into my work pants is a struggle.  So I'm using the "hair band trick" on my jeans as well as the maternity pairs I purchased and am on the look out for some maternity work pants.

Sleep | I pretty much toss and turn all night long and have the strangest dreams.  BUT this past week I had two more dreams that baby was a girl and they felt pretty real.  She had A LOT of dark hair too.

Nursery | I can't wait to share my ideas, only a couple more D A Y S until we know if we'll be working on a baby boy or girl nursery--eek!

Purchases | I've bought two maternity jeans from Pink Blush (one pictured in the weekly pictures) and I am TOTALLY sold.  I also, ordered a dress from them for our Christmas card photos at the end of this month.  Still no baby purchases but after this weekend we'll know the gender and the buying will begin!

Fun Fact | At 20 weeks our little one is halfway done baking and has working taste buds now.

Best Moment of The Week | We got to see our little babe Tuesday at the anatomy scan.  And y'all I am 100% in love with the little face, profile and nose.  Baby T wasn't very active during the ultrasound, but she switched to a 3D mode for us to see the face and I swear it is THE CUTEST face I've ever seen.  I can't wait to see it on this side of my belly.

Looking Forward To | Finding out the gender at our family gender reveal Sunday.  I can hardly wait.  Only FOUR more days!!

Next Apt. |  December 6th -- we're doing the hour long diabetes scan.
