Eat Drink & Be Mary: 5 Steps to Clean Your Wedding Rings At-Home { + $200 Target giveaway}

5 Steps to Clean Your Wedding Rings At-Home { + $200 Target giveaway}

If you follow me on Instagram you saw that I'm getting my rings sautered together (happy anniversary to me!).  And while they'll clean them up real good while my rings are there, I generally just clean them at home every two weeks.

If you're anything like me, you only take off your weddings to shower, when you clean with harsh chemicals and occasionally baking.  That means that your rings go through a lot of yuck and grime.  Luckily, pretty early on in our engagement I found a safe and easy (and pretty quick) way to clean your rings at-home.

[ pin this!! ]

Step One: Add a dime size of dish soap into a small container.
I use a ring dish my best friend got me when I got engaged.

Step Two: Add warm water and mix in with the soap.
Generally my soap at home lathers and suds up a bit more than the pictures, but I took these while on vacation at the beach.  My ring turned out just as clean and sparkly without the sudsy water.

Step Three: Put your rings in the water and set an alarm for 2
0 minutes.

Step Four: Rinse of rings with cool water.

Step Five: With a toothbrush (that you don't regularly use ;) ) gently brush the diamonds in the ring to get any excess grime off.

That's it.  Told ya it was easy.

A lot of times I'll take off my rings to clean the kitchen/bathroom and use that time to clean my rings at the same time.

And now for the part you've been waiting for....the giveaway!
