Eat Drink & Be Mary: Timmerman Party of 2: DIY Success

Timmerman Party of 2: DIY Success

This week my best friend and I are back at the beach for one last Summer vacay.  There's just something about spending the week with your best friend with the sand between your toes.  Am I right?
Anyways, while we spend my last days of Summer vacation here at the beach, I wanted to put together a short little post of DIY projects I did for our Wedding that were successes.  We all know that everything you see on Pinterest isn't always as easy as it looks, but luckily I had a lot of success DIYing things rather than buying them.
Not only do I love to craft and DIY but it saved as lots o'cash as well.  Let me know if you'd be interested in how I created any of these DIYs below and I'll work up a post on them.  In the mean time, keep up with me on snapchatmary_timmerman

the itinerary cards.  (part of the bridesmaids gifts)

Table Numbers.

Personalized Water Bottle Labels.
Unfortunately, I cannot remember the site where I found the template to these DIY water labels.  But so so cute, and the nutrition label is even sweeter (and totally cheesy).

all the chalkboards that were throughout our ceremony + reception.

Goodwill frame turned chalkboard decor thanks to a little chalkboard spray paint

the programs. (thank you PicMonkey)

 the guest book.

the seating chart.
$10 vintage windows found at a thrift shop and some chalk markers for the win.

"I Spy" Cards.  (also both tree rings that you see in this picture.  one to hold the mason jars filled with flowers and the others were the table numbers)

the menu board.
take a $3 old school picture + frame from Goodwill.  Take the picture out, spray paint the backing with chalkboard paint, and then write the menu items with a chalk marker.

my "Something Borrowed".
part of my mom's veil turned into a charm for my bouquet.  there is already a post in the works for this DIY.

Hanging Mason Jars.
thanks to a little wire, some pliers and my dad we made at least 20 mason jars that would hang from the shepherd's hooks (found at Dollar General for $ score!) for WAY WAY cheaper than buying them.  probably the biggest money saving DIY project we completed.

"GIFTS" Bunting Banner.

"Mr & Mrs" Lace Head Table Decor.
3D cardboard (?) letters, a glue pen and!! And about a million times cheaper than ones you could buy on Etsy.

What do you think, were these DIY projects a success?  What did you DIY for your wedding, and what did you go ahead and spend the time on?
