Eat Drink & Be Mary: July 2016

F I V E on F R I D A Y

Happy Friday y'all.  I know I've mentioned it several time but my Summer vacation is quickly coming to an end (how does it always fly by so quickly!), and pretty soon I'm going to have to start keeping track of what day of the week it is #firstworldprobs I know... *insert eye roll emoji*

Anyways, today my best friend and I have plans to spend a couple hours by the pool, go shopping, possibly see Bad Moms and spend the night in downtown.  That's a lot to squeeze into one day, but we've got a lot of best friend time to catch up on.

So for one of my favorite days of the week: five on friday...let's get to those five random things!

one // it's a girl!
We found out earlier this week that my SIL is having another little girl, and y'all I am so stinking excited.  I have been browsing Etsy and Pinterest like crazy for sales on bows, inspiration to make onesies, and little girl clothes.  I'm seriously dying, and my husband my seriously die when I show him all the things I want to buy.  So tell me what are you favorite shops for little girl clothes/accessories?

current favorites on Etsy right now #lovelovelove

two // 10+ Wedding DIY Successes
Did you catch my post earlier this week, on the things I chose to DIY for our wedding day?  Check the post out here.

three //
I saw this on Pinterest the other night and it spoke straight to my soul.

four // office space.
I've been trying to work on a vision for what I want our office room to look like.  It needs to be able to hold my laptop, printer, Cricut and the things that come along with it.  I came across this pin on Pinterest and I'm convinced I NEED this in our office.  Whoever thought of this is a genius...

five //  and now for a couple more days of this...

Happy weekending loves.

Timmerman Party of 2: DIY Success

This week my best friend and I are back at the beach for one last Summer vacay.  There's just something about spending the week with your best friend with the sand between your toes.  Am I right?
Anyways, while we spend my last days of Summer vacation here at the beach, I wanted to put together a short little post of DIY projects I did for our Wedding that were successes.  We all know that everything you see on Pinterest isn't always as easy as it looks, but luckily I had a lot of success DIYing things rather than buying them.
Not only do I love to craft and DIY but it saved as lots o'cash as well.  Let me know if you'd be interested in how I created any of these DIYs below and I'll work up a post on them.  In the mean time, keep up with me on snapchatmary_timmerman

the itinerary cards.  (part of the bridesmaids gifts)

Table Numbers.

Personalized Water Bottle Labels.
Unfortunately, I cannot remember the site where I found the template to these DIY water labels.  But so so cute, and the nutrition label is even sweeter (and totally cheesy).

all the chalkboards that were throughout our ceremony + reception.

Goodwill frame turned chalkboard decor thanks to a little chalkboard spray paint

DDT [july.26]

Welcome to a new week of Delicious Dish Tuesday, where we share our recipes and ask you to share YOUR awesome recipes with us!  Last week we had some delicious looking recipes shared, I love finding all these new recipes to add to my "to-do" list.  This past week my favorite recipe was shared by Olivia @ West Coast Mommy.

Buying Lately...

Somewhere in the middle of getting my wisdom teeth removed and being forced to become a couch potato (not that I can complain too much) last week, I did major damage.  Online shopping damage.

I'd like to blame it on sitting on the couch all week, but most of that time was spent asleep.  So although I'm not exactly sure when all this purchasing went down I am thrilled with the results thus far.

I thought it'd be fun to show you guys a little bit of what I've been buying lately.  Products I've found through other bloggers or just because.  There are some affiliate links below.  These will not cost you anything, however, if you do purchase something from this post it will help me continue to do what I love...blogging, duh. ;)

So onto the products...

C L O T H I N G \\

Mom Life Tee | LINDSxoPRESS
buy it here
A gift for a sweet friend, who I am pretty positive doesn't read my blog, and lets hope not because I just had to share with y'all this cute find.  I love the humor in this shirt, not to mention that graphic tees are totally the it thing right now, AND it's so dang soft.  Although, I bought this shirt because of how amazing it is, Lindsay was sweet enough to offer y'all a code for free shipping (because you know you've gotta buy it as well, for yourself or for a friend) BEMARY.

Off-the-Shoulder Lace White Top | ROMWE {see my thoughts here

Crochet Hollowed Out White Top | ROMWE {see my thoughts here}

shop the full outfit here

Items that are still in the mail, but I will be blogging about soon:
Halter Floral Bikini Set \\ Watermelon Shirt \\ Floral Print Kimono \\ Off-the-Shoulder Floral Romper \\ Green Chiffon Blouse ...apparently I have a thing for all things floral, white and off-the-shoulder lately.

Baby Moccs | Olly Oaks

A photo posted by @olly.oaks on

I'm at that stage where it seems like everyone I know is getting engaged, married or having babies [full blog post to come soon].  And I'm totally in love with the fact.  What exciting stages of life we're in!!  Needless to say when I saw Olly Oaks having a sale on their moccs I scooped up two pairs.  Lord help my husband when we start to have little babes of our own...eek!

Fringe Taupe Booties |

These bad boys are still in the mail on their way to me, and I'm so flippin' excited.  I canNOT wait to wear these this Fall.  The color is perfection, and I love the fringe.  Although, I'm thinking I should get another pair without fringe..maybe in a more tan color.  At only $25 how could I pass these up?

H O M E  D E C O R \\

Paint for our dining room re-do.  And I'm SO in love with the color.  Hopefully Thomas will finish the trim and we can put up all the final details and I can reveal on here it soon! (minus a new dining room table, I have a feeling that'll be a while...)  You might've caught a sneak peek on snapchat a while ago.

Rattan Mirror | Target

Speaking of our dining room, the bar cart I bought a while ago (when I found it on a crazy sale) had a matching mirror.  And I've been eyeing it for a while, well it finally went on sale..and that sucker is on it's way to me in the mail as well speak.

Personalized Garden Flag |

The sale on is over now, but I believe you might be able to contact the seller if you click on the link above.  These are so cute, and the same price as what you'd find in the stores plus it's you know I'm sold.

B E A U T Y \\

Body Merry. {You get 25% off your first here's to hoping these products work.}

Eyelash & Brow Elixir.  I have such thin/lame eyelashes, I'm hoping for some legit results from this serum.  I have read good results.  If this doesn't work, anyone else have any other suggestions I should try out?

Day-to-Night Eye Gel.  I've been searching for something to help with dark circles and puffiness..hopefully it works as well.

SNP Bird's Nest Aqua Eye Patches | Amazon Prime

I heard about these from Totally Tikaa, when Tikaa shared them on her snapchat.  I swear she's like a face mask/eye patch queen, and like I said above I need to start taking care of these puffy, dark circled, starting to get wrinkled eyes of mine...

Completely Bare Bikini Bump Blaster | ULTA

Reading this post from Abby @ Twist Me Pretty (hands down my fave snapchatter (isthatevenaword?) ever!) and she easily convinced me I needed this, this summer and all year round basically.

C R I C U T \\

Vinyl, Vinyl and more Vinyl.  Thanks to newest addiction (my Cricut), I am loving making things for friends and family.  Seriously, if you are wanting a monogram, or a onesie/shirt for a little one or yourself I'm your girl (for a fraction of the average price) -- just shoot me an email [mbolster1007 at]

So yeah, I've been buying adhesive vinyl and HTV like crazy.  The cheapest place to buy solid vinyl & htv:

Other places I've bought vinyl lately:
Glitter HTV | Designs by Williams
Blue and Orange Tribal HTV | Breeze Print Company (I can see a Gators shirt in my near future, hello football season)
Various printed vinyl & HTV | Southern Treasures
Sample Pack of "the most popular Lilly Pulitzer vinyl sheets" | Vinyl Supply Shop (I got the laminated version and am blown away by the quality, althought its incredibly hard to cut)
Blue and Orange Camo Vinyl | Springfed Decals

Planner Stickers.  Thanks to my Cricut I can now buy printable planner stickers (way, way cheaper!) and cut them on my Cricut.  {I'm planning on a Cricut themed post in the near future}  The stickers I bought recently were these Tropical Pineapple from Mee Digi Scrap.  But I have my eyes on these next.
Lord have mercy, my wallet is feeling a little light after all this shopping.  But practically everyday has been a happy mail day and you can't hate that.  Have you heard of any of these products before?  Which is your favorite?  What have you bought lately?

The next things on my list?

Timmerman Party of 2: The Details

I absolutely adored every minute of the wedding planning process.  I loved scouring Pinterest and Etsy for hours.  I loved making to-do lists and, of course, marking things off that to-do list as ish was getting done.  I loved asking my bridesmaids, husband, and mom for their opinions...and occasionally going with my own anyways.  I loved planning a day that I knew I'd remember for the rest of my life.  And luckily for me, our amazing photographer captured it all for us.

The details are some of my favorite parts of our big day because even though people say don't sweat the little things I loved taking my time picking out each detail down to the smallest little thing.  Y'all I had a blast.  In fact, it made me realized I would absolutely die and go to heaven if I ran my own wedding planning business.
Sadly, I don't actually know how to go about doing that, and we are definitely not in a financial state for me to quit my 9-to-5 to do such a thing.  Maybe one day...

Until then enjoy as I reminisce through the details of the best day ever.

linking up as always for Wedding Wednesday.

3 Ingredient Chocolate Cake Pops

If you don't know yet, one of my love languages are gifts and food.  Not so much getting these (all though I wouldn't turn them down, cough cough Thomas ;)) things, but when I want to show others they're loved.  I feel like every event, good or bad, is deserving of a gift and some yummy food.

I blame it on my Mom, she is 100% like this.  I grew up with her constantly baking cakes for neighbors or elderly people in our church.  If one of the kids were sad, we were cheered up with a little candy bar or maybe a milkshake.  It's not a stretch to say, she gotta it from her mama...

So in true fashion I've been on a little baking streak for my birthday man.  It's Thomas' birthday week and his request?  Chocolate Cake Pops.  And y'all these are easy to make.  confessions: these are not my favorite to make But they're easy nontheless, and what the birthday boy wants, the birthday boy gets.

Now does anyone have any gift suggestions?

Chocolate Cake Mix (and whatever ingredients you'll need to for that)
Chocolate Fudge Icing
Chocolate Candiquik

1. Bake cake according to instructions on box, and let cool completely.
2. Crumble cake with your hands.
3. Add 3/4 of the icing to the cake crumbs in a large mixing bowl.  Add more frosting as you see necessary.
4. Mix thoroughly, until the crumbs and icing are a consistently that can roll into little balls.
5. Take roughly 2 tbsp ( I don't measure it, and Thomas actually prefers them not to be mini sized) of the mixture and roll into balls.
6. Set balls onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. Let them chill for 30 minutes.
8. Melt a small chunk of your candiquik in the microwave according to package instructions.
9. Dip cake pop sticks in the melted candiquik and then about 1/2" into the cake balls.
10.  Put back in the fridge for another 30 minutes.
11.  Melt the rest of your candiquik, then dip each cake ball into it.  Hover over the ball to drip off any excess.
12.  Enjoy!

SOO now for the reason these are not my favorite to make.  It comes down to the last step.  I'm always having trouble with the pops staying on their sticks.  A lot of times they fall right apart or the stick comes right off once into the hot, melted candiquik.  I believe this is because the candiquik is too hot for the pops, but either way I find it slightly annoying.  I then just scoop them out with a fork and dip off the excess and go about my business.  Nothing major, just gets on my nerves...anyways...

confession #2: I ran out of sticks for these cake pops.  It doesn't effect the taste, of course, but are they really considered cake pops anymore?

What is your go-to birthday dessert?  Are you a cake pop fan?  What's your love language?
