My first project this Summer? A little dining room makeover. I'm talking repainting, new table, lighting, new decor the who shebang.
Right now our dining room is sort of a dull green. It's not terrible, but I'm wanting something brighter. The three paint colors I'm tossing around right now are Benjamin Moore Seafoam Green (top), Valspar Delicate Frost (middle) and Valspar Italian Ice (bottom). And I want to add bright white paneling to the bottom half of the walls (similar here).
And as grateful as I am, to have inherited so many pieces of furniture from my in-laws I'm ready for some change. I'm loving the farmhouse style dining room tables, but have no idea what kind of chairs we should get to go with keeping in mind that we'll be using them for years (so kid friendly as well). Suggestions anyone?
I already have a pendant light (similar above) from Hobby Lobby that I got on sale for $40, and the bar cart we got from IKEA that I intended on being for our patio is going to be moved in here right under the wall of black and white pictures.
Other than that I want to change out the blinds (and get rid of those awful curtains..yikes!) for bamboo shades, and add some new, fresh decor -- including that Virginia Woolfe print above.
And now that you've seen what I have in mind for our dining room, let's take a peak at what it looks like now. Everything that we already have or hope to have will be listed at the bottom of this post.
It was pretty difficult to take a picture that accurately depicts what the wall color looks like in person, but the closer wall (the kitchen) is pretty close
In love with how the picture project turned out but it was SUPER difficult to get all in line
Terrible lighting, but it shows just how TERRIBLE these curtains are
Also these corner chairs have to go, or be reupholstered (which I currently don't know how to do)
