Eat Drink & Be Mary: Timmerman Party of 2: Dessert Bar & Groom's Cake

Timmerman Party of 2: Dessert Bar & Groom's Cake

Hallelujah for hump day.  Halfway through another week, and an excuse to dump some more wedding photos on you guys.  I hope your not getting tired of these posts yet because I'm sure not.  I love looking back each week at a different aspect of our wedding, and reminiscing that beautiful day.  Three cheers for another Wedding Wednesday y'all.
Last week I shared about our wedding cake.  And the most delicious cake it was.  Seriously, I'm dreaming of the "anniversary layer" cake our baker is going to make us in August.  But our baker didn't just make us the most delicious cake and capture my vision for it perfectly but she also made a dessert bar and a jaw-dropping Groom's cake.  Seriously.
Groom's Cake:

Thomas had no idea I was getting his groom's cake made, and I was so thrilled with how it turned out.  Beth did an amazing job and really did an awesome job.  It was flavored peanut butter bomb (chocolate cake, and peanut butter frosting is the jist); I figured since our cake wouldn't be chocolate (you remember I'm not a chocolate fan) guests could enjoy some the night before.

told you.  amazing.

Dessert Bar:

I loved the idea of our guests having the option of our [so so delicious] cake, but also having a variety of other choices as well.  Our dessert bar was a hit, and of course Thomas and I got none of it and both seriously regret that.  Haha.

our cake [see post here]

Dessert Bar items: strawberries and cream cupcakes, lemon blueberry bars, peanut butter truffles, southern pecan bars, banana pudding shooters, german chocolate cupcakes

And the cutest little flower girl eating a truffle.
