Eat Drink & Be Mary: Tips + Essentials for Wedding Thank You Notes

Tips + Essentials for Wedding Thank You Notes

thanks y'all sign : Z Create Design

It's Wedding Wednesday.  Can I get a whoop whoop?  Not only is today my favorite blog day, but we've made it halfway through the week and I can start to see the weekend on the horizon.  And today is your lucky day.  I'm sharing an amazingly talented etsy shop, sharing my "thank you" note tips AND there's a chance to win some cash at the bottom of this post.  Happy hump day indeed.

I'm skipping ahead this week to what happens after all the wedding madness has passed.  Yep, I'm talking about the thank you notes.  They can seem kinda daunting, among unpacking into your new home, and getting used to life with your new husband.  BUT I think it's pretty important to thank those who took the time to spend your big day with you and, of course, for their gift.

I wanted to send out unique thank you cards, to show our guests they are loved and we are so thankful for their presences and presents. ;)  And Z Create Design helped me make that a reality.  Not to mention their "thank's y'all" signs doubled as cute decor as well.

+ "Thank You" note cards
+ a good pen that doesn't smear (I prefer Sharpie ball point pens)
+ The Lettermate.  To help make addressing all those envelopes easier.
+ Customized Stamp, I'm all about making it easier on yourself.  Not to mention it made the envelopes super cute, and I still use it today.  There's always deals on groopdealz and jane.

1. include a picture for a personalized feel (and of course you'll need a photography prop for that)
2. thank them for their generousity/kindness/time
3. mention the gift they gave you
4. add in something about them making the time to spend your day with you (if they came)
5. sign both your and your new husbands name, even if you're the one writing all the letters

Adding these "thanks y'all" pictures into each card really set them apart, and I just love the personalized touch it added.  So tell me, did you send out thank you cards?  Or are they a thing of the passed?

Now about that talented etsy shop I mentioned.  Z Create Design.  You guys not only are the owners total sweethearts but they are one heck of a creative team.  I also ordered this and this from their shop for our wedding.

They have such a variety, that no matter what you're wanting for your wedding, they've got it.  Consider them your one stop shop for all the photography props your heart desires -- wedding, babies, materinity, holidays -- you name it, they've got it.
