Dress Boots | Off Style Broadway

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse. All opinions are 100% mine.

It's slowly starting to feel like fall here in the h o t state of SC. And by slowly I mean Saturday was 80. That is something that this mountain girl is going to have to get used to, as in Saturday where I'm from it was 52. Holy moly.

Even though it hardly feels like fall, I still feel the need to dress the part. And that is where these cute, dressy booties step in. Nothing like cute pair of boots to give you that extra boost of confidence, and dress the part.

The plus of this new state of mine? Living the married life with my sweet husband. Lately, we've been focusing on spending time together. Whether it's putting together our new bookshelf I've been eyeing for weeks (eek!) or a date night trying new restaurants it's important to not forget to date each other.

When I think fall date night there are several essentials that come to mind. But mainly? Leather jackets and boots. And these dress boots are the perfect accessory to mix things up a bit on a date night to feel a little extra sexy. ;) Thank you Off Style Broadway.

Welcome to a new week of Delicious Dish Tuesday, where we share our recipes and ask you to share YOUR awesome recipes with us!  Last week we had some delicious looking recipes shared, I love finding all these new recipes to add to my "to-do" list.  This past week my favorite recipe was shared by Linda @ Best of Long Island and Central Florida.

Skinny Pumpkin Whip

OREO Upside Down Mini Cheesecakes with Fanta

Is it just me or did Halloween arrive rather quickly this year?

Now that Thomas and I are starting to settle into our house I've finally had some time to start baking.  And this recipe is a real treat.  Just in time for Halloween, these Upside Down Mini OREO Cheesecakes will knock your socks off.  And really, who doesn't love mini cheesecakes?  Not to mention these OREO cookies come in GLOW in-the-dark packages.  #mindblown

These mini OREO cheesecakes are perfect for Halloween parties.  Not to mention pairing them with the Fanta mini cans makes for a great mini black and orange combo.  Halloween win.

Thomas is a HUGE chocolate fan.  Like the biggest there is.  These mini cheesecakes were totally up his ally.  But really they're the perfect treat for anyone at a party.  They may look rich, but they're light and just the right amount cream cheesy.

OREO Glow-in-the-dark 30 ct. packaging
2 - 8oz Cream Cheese, softened
1/2 C Sour Cream
1/2 C Sugar
1/2 tsp. Vanilla
2 Eggs

*yields 12 cheesecakes

1. Preheat the oven to 350
2. Line the cupcake tin with cupcake liners.
3. Place OREOs in each cupcake tin and set aside.
4. Crush up 18 OREOs and set aside.
5. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and sugar.
6. Add in the sour cream and vanilla.  Continue mixing until all is mixed thoroughly.
7. Add in eggs, one at a time, beat on low.
8. Stir in crushed OREOs.
9. Pour batter into cupcake tins.
10. Bake for 20 minutes (or until center is set) on 350.
11. Cool and then chill in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
12. Take off cupcake lines, place upside down and ENJOY.

As always, I found these glow-in-the-dark OREOs while doing my grocery shopping at Walmart.  I mean this idea is genius y'all.  The wrapper glows when it's exposed to light, and will make trick-or-treating that much more exciting.  So of course, you know I had to snatch them up.  Good ole Walmart, never fails y'all.

For more recipes including OREO and Fanta, check out these custom, Walmart-exclusive recipes from Evette Rios, host of the CBS show, Recipe Rehab.

just as cute, when they're still in the wrapper

Pair these mini cheesecakes with a mini Fanta soda, and your are set for any Halloween festivity.

What is your favorite Halloween treat?  Do you have plans to pair OREOs and Fanta this halloween?  Happy Monday loves.

Timmerman Party of 2: Bridesmaids Gifts

monogram button ups | the preppy pair

Three cheers for Wedding Wednesday y'all.  My official favorite blog day, and we're halfway through the work week too.  I mean you just can't beat that...well except for actually being through with the work week.  Is it bad to say I live for the weekends?

Now, let's talk bridesmaids gifts.

bridesmaids' jewelry | Charming Charlie

For me, it was really important to let my bridesmaids know how thankful I truly was for them.  They listened to me complain, make decisions and helped make sure I wasn't stressed.  They were amazing during the entire wedding planning process.

+ itinerary for the wedding day
+ thank you letter

For their gifts I tried to get them something they could use even after the wedding (initial bag), help them from spending even more money (the jewelry), and something to remind them of my wedding day ("tying the knot" bracelet).  If you ask me it all turned out pretty well, and the girls seemed to love their gifts.

My favorite part of the gifts?  Monogrammed button ups.  Y'all.  They are everything I hoped for and more.

I knew that I wanted to get my girls something to get ready in (for cute pictures..duh!), and since we went to the hair salon to get our makeup and hair done I knew robes weren't the way to go.  When Jodi @ The Preppy Pair reached out to me about sending her button ups I was over the moon.

You see, I've worked with Jodi several times before, and often find myself using all my "spending money" on her website.  In fact, I'm currently awaiting our Christmas stockings in the mail.  All this to say, she is one talented, kind, sweet woman.  And obviously if you're in the market for some bridesmaids' button ups (or a vest or pillows), she's totally your girl.

Seriously you guys.  I know I said it last week, but picking out everyone's gift was such a fun part of the wedding planning.

I actually made the itineraries myself and love how they turned out!

Stay tuned for the girls getting ready where you'll get to see more of these button ups in action.  And the sweetest detail on my button up.  Happy hump day boos.
