ONE || this weekend
3 of my bridesmaids are coming up today and I just can't wait.  I'm ready for a night of good food + catching up.  Not to mention tomorrow is my bridal shower..eek!  I can hardly contain myself, which for the record Thomas just wants to know "but what's so fun about it."  Haha. [also my two month checklist]

TWO || this post.
I loved Barbie growing up.  For a very long.  As in, past when it was normal I'm pretty sure.  Regardless, this post on buzzfeed is perfection.  18 Surprising Things You Don't Know About Barbie.  Did you know Barbie has a full name?  And #16 kills me.

It's no secret I love a good monogrammed-anything.  But recently I've fallen in love with jewelry that have a script monogram and no background.  If that doesn't make sense (because I'm not sure if that even made sense to myself), reference picture below.  So cute!  [see also; this ring]

FOUR || this post.
I had to share two posts this Friday because this post is too good to pass up.  Alex shares some tips for a successful engagement session, and they are spot on.  Oh and I'm pretty much obsessed with the little sneak peek she gave us of her pictures.  I want her entire outfit, and she looks quite darling along side her fiancĂ©.

Beauty Routine for the Bride-to-Be

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Carefree. All opinions are 100% mine.

Another day, another wedding post.  Andd the second wedding post for this week.  (the first one)

Planning a wedding is a dream come true.  I can't even remember how long ago I started dreaming of this.  Yes, I was one of those girls.  But who can blame me?  And now that it's really happening I'm all about timelines, check lists & routines.

The day of your wedding is probably going to be one of your most photographed days on Earth.  And as I've mentioned before it's important that you feel your best.  Confidence is key.  It's your day and not only should you feel beautiful, but you should feel comfortable in your own skin too.  Which is why today I'm talking about my beauty routine for the bride-to-be.

According to timelines I've read it's good to start a beauty routine a couple months out to prepare your skin for the big day, and I feel like I'm getting into a groove with it's time to share with you dolls.

DAILY go-to's

MOISTURIZER.  All day, everyday.  But really, everyday.  Ain't nobody got time for dry skin leading up to the big "i do."

FACE MASKS.  Prepping that skin for the big day.  Not to mention it's so fun to pretend you're at a spa..go ahead and add some cucumbers to your eyes, sit back and relax.

Carefree Liners.  1.  These are the only pantiliners that come in a shape made for a thong.  #winning  Not to be graphic, but I'm not down with wearing granny pants (I mean I'm trying to feel like I'm on my A game) and the normal shape just aren't your friend when wearing a thong.  2. If it helps me feel fresh and fierce, especially when my ovaries are throwing a fit about not being made into a home for a baby, then I'm down.

NATURAL MAKEUP.  It may be more of "I still don't know how to do my own make up like an adult" but when it comes to doing my makeup I go natural and stick to the basics.  Think ONE color of eye shadow (yes, the same color everyday), mascara, eyeliner & foundation.

WASH.  I make sure to wash my face everyday, simple as that.

PEARLY WHITES.  Speaking of all those pictures we're prepping for, I'm aiming for a mouth full of pearly whites.  This means brushing my teeth, at least twice a day (duh) and using some other whitening agent.  what's your go-to teeth whitening product?

DRY SHAMPOO.  Washing, conditioning and drying my hair takes f o r e v e r .  I don't have time to do that everyday (sorry not sorry) and it's not healthy for your hair anyways.  A million thanks for dry shampoo stepping in and saving the day.

There you have it, my go-to's that leave me feeling fierce.  What beauty products do you use to feel fresh?  What are your daily go-to's?

And speaking of beauty routines, check out this video of men trying to explain the secret beauty weapons women use to feel fresh and look fierce everyday.  Seriously, #icant.  *insert hysterically crying emoji*

I love how this video playfully pokes fun at men trying to explain women's beauty products, this "mansplaining trend" -- a trend I can seriously get behind, a daily dose of laughter is good for the soul.

I mean, I know Thomas has no clue the rhyme and reason behind A L L the things I use to get ready everyday, but I don't expect him to.  One of the perks to being a man I suppose...

Happy hump day loves.  Discover why fresh is fierce, I dare you. ;)

J U N E "TO-DOs" : wedding edition

In less than a week (next Tuesday) we'll be down to T W O months away.  I'm sorry, say what?!  That is so so mind blowing to me.  I can't believe that we've been engaged for six months, half year, and before we know it I will be MRS. T.  Be still my heart.

SC Baseball T | | The Home T

And with that new last name is a new state to call "home".  Something that excites me and terrifies me at the same time.  I can't be happier to be starting my life with T and doing it in our home.  But moving states (no matter how in love with the WARM temperatures I am) is pretty scary.  But I'm embracing it.  And thanks to Stephanie for her kind words, my heart is becoming more and more calm each day.

And in embracing my new home, must come super cute SC apparel right?  In walks The Home T (as seen on Shark Tank...what??!!) with their made in the USA, super soft tees.  Not to mention I'm loving their newest baseball t's line.  Oh and did I mention a portion of their proceeds go to MS research.  Y' can't go wrong with buying from a business like theirs.

And now, for a 2 month's out checklist ; prepare yourself...

June's To-Do List:

+ DIY table numbers & centerpieces

 + mail invitations, this is getting real!

+ find the rest of tablecloths & table runners (we have 5, now we just need some for all the guests' tables)

+ get Unity item & deciding on wording for ceremony

+ book hair trial for June (and have)

+ update registry between showers

+ have our Couples shower in SC eek!

+ DIY "something old" (sounds odd, but to incorporate my something old it's needs a little work)
+ choose reception songs (entrance, garter/bouquet toss, cake cutting, exit song, etc)
+ decide if we are writing our own vows or not

+ decide on programs
+ make transportation plans for exit

+ decide on Bachelorette outfit

+ have Menu tasting with caterer

SC Tee | | The Home T

and for all the things I have we have accomplished so far...

- get Groom's gift
- meet with DJ & florist
- purchase parents gifts
- finalize arrangements for rehearsal & rehearsal dinner
- purchase flower girl/ring bearer gifts
- purchase in-laws gifts
- ordered toasting flutes
order Bachelorette favors
- have my bridal shower woot woot! (this Saturday)
- make directions card
- addressed all the envelopes (outside + RSVP)
- take full invitation to the post office to figure out postage
- assemble invitations
- meet with florist

And that's it folks.  2 months to go.  What advice do you have for me?
Any "must do's" for two months away?

DDT [may.26]

Welcome to a new week of Delicious Dish Tuesday, where we share our recipes and ask you to share YOUR awesome recipes with us!  Last week we had some delicious looking recipes shared, I love finding all these new recipes to add to my "to-do" list.  This past week my favorite recipe was shared by Kaitlin @ Little Goodies Blog.

Banana Bread with Orange Butter

Just when you thought banana bread couldn't get any better, I went and added the hint of refreshing oranges with my Grandma's orange butter.

Sour Cream Banana Bread
------------------------------------   (makes one loaf)
1 C Sugar
1/2 C Oil
2 Eggs
1 C Mashed Bananas (2 medium)
1/2 C Sour Cream
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 1/2 C All-Purpose Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 tsp. Salt

Instructions: (preheat oven to 350F)
1. Grease 9x5 loaf pan.  Then line the pan with parchment paper and grease that as well.  (Trust me you need both)
2. In a large bowl, beat together sugar and oil.
3. Add eggs, bananas, sour cream, and vanilla.  Blend well.
4. Add flour, baking soda and salt.  Stir until dry ingredients are moistened.
5. Pour into prepared pan.
6. Bake at 350F for 1 hour (or until toothpick comes out clean).
7. Cool for 5 minutes.
8. Remove from pan, and let cool completely.

Orange Butter
(makes enough for 2 loafs)

1 stick of Butter
1 8oz package of Cream Cheese
Zest of 1 Orange
2-4 tbsp. Sugar
Orange Juice

1. Cream together (room temperature) butter and cream cheese.
2. Add in zest of one orange.
3. Add in sugar 2-4 tbsp. to taste.
4. Add in orange juice to taste.

This orange butter is beyond amazing when paired with this banana bread recipe.  After cutting banana bread into slices,  add the orange butter to one slice.  Make sure to really lather it on there (sorta thick).  Add the top of the sandwhich, and then cut them in half to make mini sandwiches.

These freeze really well.  My suggestion is to make two loaves, add the orange butter, cut them into mini sandwiches and then freeze half of them.

  Y'all this recipe is from my Bubby (so you know it's a winner) is the best.  It's the perfect recipe for bridal showers, a summer day, a picnic or BBQ, or just for the heck of it.  Kick your banana bread up a notch with my Bubby's recipe + orange won't regret it.

F I V E on F R I D A Y

As you're reading this, I am most likely beach front with my main squeeze and family.  Life is good y'all.  So let's get on with our regularly scheduled's time for five things I'm loving this week.

ONE || this post
This post by Alex at Always, Al is spot on.  She talks about things that us bloggers do, and I caught myself nodding along to almost everything on her list.  (minus the #hellodarling --what's up with that?).  You've got to admit you've started doing things differently now that you're blogging.  What's one thing you'd add to Alex's list?

TWO ||
this Etsy shop
1. It is so hard to have all this wedding stuff that I can't share with y'all (yet).  So hard.  I just wanna share every little detail I have planned for our big day, but I know the end result will be totally worth it.

2.  Meeting etsy shop owners like Katelyn, makes it that much more difficult.  Katelyn @ Canvas Creative Shop is simply amazing y'all.  She helped me create a custom logo to go with our invitations and put up with my 3423 questions and was just so so sweet.  I seriously suggest working with her if you're in the need for something wedding or invitation related.

...and because I can't resist showing you a little preview

THREE || this recipe
I've actually never tasted a macaron (I know right!) but I just imagine they'd be so wonderful.  And how can you go wrong with a nutter butter flavored macaron?  The Domestic Rebel is a genius.

These Nutter Butter Macarons combine the classic all-American cookie with the elegant French macaron in this EASY recipe! You won't believe how simple it is to make authentic macarons at home that taste like Nutter Butters!
