Asheville Weekend

Moving day is getting closer and closer y'all.  And with that day creeping up on us, I've been trying to make the most of my weekends visiting friends while I can.  So here's a little peek into my weekend...

Friday Night ||  after work Thomas and I both made the trip to Asheville (separately, of course) to visit our friends Heather (my college roommate) and her boyfriend, Mike (Thomas' friend through college baseball).  There's just nothing like catching up with old friends over Mexican food.

Saturday || The four of us split ways and, we had a girls day.  Including a lunch date at Panera, bridesmaid jewelry shopping & a trip to Target.  Oh and did I mention I forgot my wallet... #fail

color coded heaven, aka: charming charlies

Saturday night || We spent our evening going back to Mars Hill to watch The Bailey Mountain Cloggers (and our former teammates) perform their concert.  One word: amazing.  But it seriously doesn't seem like two years since our senior concert.

how could I resist this cute little cupcake | oh, and it tasted awful :(

Sunday || The weekend seriously flew by as always and it was time for us to go home.  But not before my sweet fiancé indulged in a little Pizza Hut for our lunch date, and got some one-on-one time.

and that's a if I can just make it through a two day work week I'll be spring breakin' my way to SC to see my favorite red head once again.  what'd you do this weekend?

F I V E things.

Oh Friday, I wish I could just give you a hug.  Depending on when you're reading this I have survived another week of 5 year olds, and am well on my way to seeing my college roommate and Thomas.  I always love weekends where I get to see T and my best friends...not to mention the boys can entertain themselves while we go do girly things (shopping for bridesmaid jewelry, yes please).  It's a win/win for all really.  And now 5 things before we dive headfirst into our weekends...

ONE|| home office
For some reason the beginning of Spring has me planning out our home decor (our home of which I've never seen the inside.  yikes!  But I'm told there are 2 1/2 rooms, and I plan on one being my "office" aka, place to blog & set up photo space.  And of course, I've turned to Pinterest for help...

TWO|| wedding update
This week I shared two wedding related posts.  These are seriously my favorite posts to write as of lately....sorry I'm not sorry?  Our engagement pictures in full force are finally up, and don't say I didn't warn you that there would be a lot of pictures. ;)  And my wedding to-do checklist went up yesterday -- what I'm accomplished the last four months and what's in store for April.  August will be here before we know it y'all.

Would this be inappropriate as a RSVP card?! Just kidding, but it's hilarious!

THREE|| Easter bunny bait
We all know I adore Jillian over at A BaJillian Recipes, but she's really outdone herself this time.  Easter bunny bait?  Seriously, I need some of this in my life.  And it looks super fun to make too.

FOUR|| golden oreo truffles
I have been wanting to try out an oreo truffle with a golden oreo for a very long time now, and these Golden Oreo Easter Egg Truffles look like they'd be amazing.  Perfect timing with Easter right around the corner.
Golden Oreo Easter Egg Truffles are easy to make and so yummy. They are pretty cute too! @yourhomebasedmom

FIVE|| my hero
My fiancé passed the firefighting section of his training, and is well on his way to becoming a firefighter.  I could not be more proud of him.  Please keep him in your prayers as he begins the EMT section; he's worried but I know he'll kick butt.  And speaking of my firefighter...this makes my heart straight up melt into a puddle.  I canNOT wait for little babies dressed in tutus & supporting their daddy.

A P R I L "TO-DOs" : wedding edition

As my kinders would say, "holy moly guacamole!"  In less than a week we will be officially four months away from walking down the aisle.  The fact that our wedding is in four months isn't what blows my mind.  It's that we started out with an eight month engagement, and now that there are four months away we are halfway through...uhhhh where did the time go?  I mean if the last four months went by this fast, who knows how fast these next four will fly by.

And as stressful as that sounds, I could not be happier to be living with my prince charming for good (peace out, long distance) for good in four short months.  EEK!

April's To-Do list:

...and on that note

WOW!  My checklist for April may be long, but I have high hopes for this coming up month.  Not to mention how rewarding it is to look back at all we've accomplished so far.  Four more months (and a couple days) to anyone else blown away by how fast this engagement has flown by!?

Engagement Pictures

We're half way through the week y'all...we can do this!  And as excited as I am for this weekend (a trip to Asheville to visit my college roommate and T) I'm pretty darn thrilled that today is Wednesday.  Wedding Wednesday.

This week's edition?  Engagement Pictures.  eek.

Y'all.  Our photographer is the sweetest.  She made us feel so comfortable, and got the best pictures of Thomas and I.  And Thomas was a champ through it all even though afterwards he was totally done.

And now for the pictures, there are a lot -- you've been warned.

both of our hands down favorite

[ oh and p.s. 129 more days until we say "i do" ]

As always I'm linking up with Macy and Meg for Wedding Wednesday.

I told you are photographer, Miranda, was the best.  She did a great job at making us feel like we'd known her forever -- making it much easier to snap our pictures while smooching all afternoon long.  Not to mention she's upgraded one of our gallery wraps as a gift to us (such a kind, heart).   I can't wait for her to photograph our wedding!  If you're in need of a photographer...give her a call!

So tell me, do you have a favorite?  Did you take engagement pictures?  After you currently planning your wedding?
