Homemade Almond Butter

I am an almond butter fanatic.  As in I could eat in every morning.  On top of a toasted english muffin, oh I can taste it now.  Pure deliciousness.  When I discovered how easy making your own almond butter was, I was sold.  And now that I've tried it out myself and it was a total success I knew I had to share with y'all.

Homemade Almond Butter
recipe adapted from Sidewalk Shoes

Ingredients:
+ 2 cups Raw Almonds
+ 1/4 C packed, Brown Sugar
+ 4 drops Vanilla Extract
+ 4 tbsp Coconut Oil
+ 1 tbsp Salt

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F, and roast almonds for 10 minutes.  Let cool completely.
2. Put all the ingredients in the food processor, and grind up.  Using short pulses at first, and then let it go on low for 4-5 minutes or until its creamy.
*add coconut oil until it's the creamy consistency desired.
3. Store in an airtight container.

Next stop?  I'd love to try my hand at other nut butters, such as...
