5 Resources Every BRIDE-TO-BE Should Be Using

The wedding planning process has been just peachy, for this bride-to-be, so far.  I know it's only been a month, but I've been planning my heart out and gettin' to mark all sorts of things off my to-do list.  How you may ask...well today I'm sharing my 5 resources every bride-to-be should be using to help ease the process.

This has by far been the BIGGEST help.  Since I'm getting married where I've grown up (and where many of my facebook friends live) I have gone to facebook several times for references for photographers, venues, etc.

Don't be afraid to ask people in your town for their suggestions.  I found my venue and photographer via friends on facebook and would've never found them otherwise.

2. Etsy

Behold the land of every. single. decoration. you could ever want at your wedding.  From robes, wedding signs, "mrs" apparel, and so so much more.  I'm in wedding planning heaven when searching Etsy.

A magazine, an app and a website..whichever you prefer they've got it.  I personally loved the magazine as I first started to get my theme and direction for my wedding.  I received a lot of weddings (from my dear dear best friends) when I first got engaged, and it's by far my favorite one.

Not to mention they also have a shop, and discounts all the time.  I may or may not have already bought something from it.  Happy mail day to me!

Most brides are wanting to shed a little weight before the wedding.  And I don't blame them, you outta feel beautiful on your big day.  Stay motivated with the MyFitnessPal app/website.  You can log your workouts and what you've ate.  In my opinion, it's the best fitness app out there.

Finally, after all those hours of endless pinning can come in handy.  I loved going through my wedding board and deciding what I wanted now that I had an actual wedding to plan for.  Also, the secret boards are perfect.  I liked being able to keep track of pins I've found giving away all of my ideas before the actual wedding.

There you have it, my five resources you should be using if you're planning a wedding.  Not to mention having a supportive family, fiancé and friends helps just that much more.

Any suggestions for Etsy shop or fitness related apps I should take a look at?  What was the best resource when you were planning your wedding?

Say hello to this month's sponsor, Lindsey!

  3. At this time last year, I was in the middle of wedding planning. I used Thoughtfully Designed for initial charms for my bridesmaids bouquets. They really liked that idea! I used the Succulent Source for our succulent plants, Hey Shabby Me for printable wedding programs, DK Delektables for striped straws for the reception, Sense and Grace for the cake topper, Monde Design for my personalized monogram label which was sewn into my dress and Alphabet Art Photos for our guest book. Wow, I used Etsy more than I thought I did! ;) Have fun with the rest of your planning!!

  4. Oh my gosh, I LOVED The Knot when I was planning our wedding. It really was super helpful. I had never heard of Pinterest when I got married so I wasn't able to use that one but I've seen so many amazing wedding pins on there that makes me want to do it all over again...with maybe just the two of us this time. haha!

  14. There have been many times when I wished that Pinterest had been available when I got married in 2007. Don't get me wrong, I love the way things turned out, but I think it could have been even more awesome had I had Pinterest to help me along the way.

  38. Excellent recommendations! Pinterest and Etsy were big for me. Signing up for The Wedding Party email was awesome too. They would send me emails saying "You have 8 months till your wedding, have you done this, this, and this?" Kept me on top of what I was supposed to be focusing on. Because things get out of hand, really quickly. Good luck planning!! I'm here if you need me :)

  39. I'm so in love with Etsy lately. It's truly the best when it comes to finding SO many different things for our wedding. I haven't heard of the Wedding Party email yet; I'll definitely look into that. I LOVE checklists so it sounds like it'd be perfect.
