Well I started out this post with Last Minute Gifts in mind. But to be honest, I just couldn't focus on the post. You see I've been bit by the wedding bug. It's official, I have wedding fever. And I finally get to do something about it.
If you didn't hear, two weeks ago I got engaged to the man of my dreams. Seriously y'all, he's been a peach through this whole process. Now I know you may be thinking it's only been two weeks. But a lot can go on in two weeks.
Eek! Still doesn't feel real!
I've already cried. I feel stressed and behind where I should be in all the planning. And there is SO much to do!
But my sweet fiance has been there supporting me and reminding me it's not worth stressing over. Always responding with "whatever will make you happy" or "is it everything you want" and so much more, especially when I'm already upset.
He's right, (as I said on Instagram) its the marriage not the wedding. And as if I didn't already know before now, I'm so blessed to be marrying this man; life with him makes perfect sense. I always knew it was him, but what I didn't know was planning our wedding would make me fall even more in love with him.
All this to say, sorry I'm not sorry for blowing up everyone's Pinterest feed, and to show you my wedding board of ideas...

Oh and I created a hashtag to keep up with all shenanigans, wedding related through our wedding...

Oh wow, coral and champagne are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI was actually really excited when I saw your wedding ideas popping up on Pinterest. haha! I love wedding related stuff. The whole planning process does get really stressful tho. lol Just try to enjoy it and think, things may not go 100% the way you want them to, but in the end you get to marry the man of your dreams, and THAT'S pretty amazing! Congrats girl!! You are going to make a gorgeous bride!
ReplyDeleteWow! Congrats, Mary! Beautiful ring :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful wedding inspiration! SO much to look forward to in the months ahead! My biggest advice would be...DIY is great...but sometimes it's just cheaper to buy stuff. Definitely price check and compare things when deciding what to make versus buy. ALSO remember that you don't have to do EVERYTHING you pin :) don't be hard on yourself. You've got the right idea...better to focus on the marriage and put your joy in that versus stressing about the wedding. This is a beautiful season...but don't let it steal your joy! Happy Planning!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your engagement! Your ring is gorgeous! I love those colors you picked out. I had eggplant (deep purple) and champagne for my wedding so I'm a huge fan!
ReplyDeletebeautiful! our colors are really similar too! happy planning!! get the big stuff out of the way then you'll have nothing to do haha!
ReplyDeleteI love your color choices and the ideas you have pinned are gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteCongrats. I'm far behind in blog world as I only read now. But I'm happy for you. I'm with your husband it shouldn't be stressful. It should be your dream come true. Just make it everything you want and more and it should be awesome. You're the bride. You shouldn't get stressed or worked over it. It will go as planned I promise.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the engagement, beautiful. Wish you and your hubby to-be the a great life together.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and Happy New Year. May your Christmas be blessed, full of joy, happiness and blessings-surrounded by your loved ones.

Congrats girl!!! So happy for you and your ring is beautiful! And I'm right there with you on the super high excitement/stress level that comes along with planning… it can get pretty overwhelming. Have you set a date yet??
ReplyDeleteCongrats!! I help decorate weddings and this past summer we had some rustic, coral weddings…they turned out beautiful!! I haven't seen your color palette yet and I love it! So fresh and vibrant! Have fun with the whole process, ask for help, and remember to take moments to cherish all of these sweet memories to come!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!! I just got engaged two days ago (still not even real to me!!) and I've been thinking about a coral wedding...I LOVE your color scheme. Brb, going to stalk your Pinterest boards. :) wishing you and your fiance all the best!!
ReplyDeleteI loove your color choices!! Gold/champagne is always the best. :) If it makes you feel any better, we were only engaged for about 3 months and got it all done ... though I did buy my dress early. ;) But you'll get it all done! Don't worry! Do you already have a date set? (Sorry if I missed that somewhere!) Yes definitely, do whatever makes you happy. It is YOUR day. There are all kinds of things I'd do differently if I could. That's my advice. ;)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! Don't stress, really.Enjoy it for the wonderful and exciting time that it is and know that it goes so fast.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful holiday!
