Eat Drink & Be Mary: Hello November!

11.03.2014

Hello November!

Happy Monday and Hello November.  Nothing like welcoming a new month with inches of snow right?  Ugh.  Seeing the snow this early makes me wanna cry.  I'm not prepared for the winter we are about to have.

But instead of focusing on the negative that the winter will bring, today I'm sharing things I'm loving or looking forward this November.  10 reasons my November is awesome this year.

1. Flavored Hot Chocolate.  Preferably mint.

2. My new ring holder.

3. Thanksgiving dinner, duh.

4.  Gingerbread + Pumpkin Spice Lattes are both being sold right now.

5. S'mores Fudge.   (I'll be making this for Thanksgiving this year -- shhh)

6. Birthday season -- two of my best friends, my dad and aunt all have birthdays this month.

7. New Planners.  My Plum Paper Design planner  (seen here) came in the mail last month, but I had it start in November.  Yipee!  Time to break in this bad boy.

8. Taylor Swift's new album.  Obsessed.

9. Chili.  Yes, please!

10. Weekends spent with family, best friends, and my boyfriend.  Here's to a busy but love-filled month.

...oh and the winner of the Monogram Clutch (thanks to Nelle!) has been chosen!  Head on over to this post to see who the lucky winner is!

My Christmas tree is up ... Don't judge me

What do you love most about November?  What are you looking forward to this month?

  24. I love how it turned out, and it's definitely worth it.

  25. I'm not a huge chocolate fan, but mint flavored hot chocolate is my jam! I'm so about the Christmas spirit -- today our kinders started practicing for the Christmas play. I'll be hearing jingle bells everyday for a month I'm sure.

Definitely listen to her songs! They're really catchy, and different from her others. I'll be making a trip to SC to see Thomas this weekend; I'll be warm for sure. You stay warm too.

  26. Mint hot chocolate is the best! Chili is so so yummy. I can't wait for my dad to make some this year. Do you have a recipe for yours?

  27. I try to maintain a positive attitude most of the time, and it definitely helps my overall mood. It's really fun to come up with things I'm looking forward for the month to come, and gets me excited. Definitely join up with @Anne @ Love the Here and Now next month :)

  28. I read the other day that November birthdays can be accounted for thanks to Valentines Day (TMI?). I can't wait for the food either, the weather not so much.

  29. Why would they do such a thing? A couple weeks ago I actually found the premade iced latte drink at my Walmart, maybe you could find one there? I hate that for ya girl ;)

    ReplyDelete
  30. The planner is definitely worth it. I love that you can customize it for all the different needs you would have (blogging, family, meals). Ah good ole Christmas, right around the corner.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Have you had one before Amberly? I just got mine and love it. I customized it for day-to-day and blogging, and it's working perfectly so far. Something about a blank month ahead is so refreshing. :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. I wish it didn't get as cold as it does here. They're saying it's supposed to be a rough winter (whoever they are), and i'm NOT looking forward to it. The leaves are a beautiful sight though.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I've been wanting to try a salted caramel version, but today I couldn't find any except the Starbucks brand at the grocery store. What brand do you use?

    ReplyDelete
  34. It's really hard not to go full speed ahead into Christmas everything considering deocrations and candy are everywhere in the stores already.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Definitely give it a try. Totally worth it, and the BEST thing to eat on a chilly day.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Me neither, well technically I can't wait for my dad to make his and I plan on making my boyfriends. YUM!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I haven't! I've done Erin Condren and Day Designer, but this one seems like it will fit my needs perfectly and not be as bulky as the Day Designer! I'm super excited!!

  38. I found it on Allrecipes.com! It's the It's Chili, By George recipe!
