You Know You're Getting Old When...

Earlier this month I turned 23.  Twenty-three years of life on this Earth, and I've still go so much to learn and experience.  But 23 on my side is a lot of years... 

I'm not saying I'm old yet, but I am getting older. 

Warning: you may find yourself nodding in agreement with some of these things listed below.  It's okay -- no need to get depressed.  Just go find your stash of chocolate and eat away...we will get through this together (I hope).  

I can only imagine how I'll feel the day I turn 30...

1. You're completely find with being in bed by 10:30pm on a Friday night.

2. Waking up at 9am on a Saturday is considered sleeping in.

3. Thursday is no longer considered part of your weekend.

4. Your knees start hurting when you run.  

5. Rap music often makes you cringe.

6. Breakfast for dinner is the highlight of your week.

7. You've gotten rid of your "club clothes" to make room for your work clothes in your closet.

8. The phrase "crows feet" has now begun to have more than one meaning.

9. You have to workout to actually be able to button your pants, no more eating anything you want.  Blah.

...when did this growing up thing happen?  #nothankyou

  5. I turned 23 in August and the struggle has been real! I am the queen of early Friday night bed times and I don't even remember the last time I 'went out' on a Thursday. I am also finding myself to be more and more disgusted by the rap music that is played "now days" haha! I love this post and agree 100%

  8. OMG!! I am totally laughing about this. I kept a few club tops "just in case" and I came across them and thought - I will never wear these again and got rid of a couple more. They still hang. I am embarrassed to say I have even gone to bed as early as 9P on a Friday night but I wake up by 6:30A every Saturday/Sunday anyway. If I sleep til 7A I get sooo excited that I *slept in*. LOL.
    I used to love hip hop/rap but just the other day I had it on for a minute. As I changed the station I thought "I just can't take this anymore". geesh!

  9. I would love to start going to bed at 9:00, but my husband won't let me! We usually go to bed at 10:00.

  11. I turned 30 last year and it was tough. Now I absolutely LOVE it and embrace it.

  12. I turned 23 back in April and I totally know what you mean! It took me 4 days to recover from a jog last week, my legs (ankles mainly) just didn't want to hold up! I also keep getting days confused on my calendar, I'm getting old too fast! Ah!

  13. Yes, my ankles are like jello and swell like a pregnant women. Not okay, I can only imagine how it'll go from here...

  14. Rap is seriously the worst. Not only can I not understand anything, but its so crude and seriously awful to listen to.

  15. My grandparents make it every week, and I come eat with them. It's seriously the best.

  19. I thought the lyrics were crude when I was young but I didn't mind it because I thought it was 'cool'. I bet the younger generation probably thinks the same - they probably don't mind how awful it is.
