Eat Drink & Be Mary: My Go-To Fall Essentials

My Go-To Fall Essentials

If you're anything like me it takes you forever to get ready anytime you go out.  No, just me?

No matter what I do, or where I'm going, it takes me a solid thirty minutes to decide what to wear.  The struggles of a 21st century girl, y'all.

Luckily, in the Fall I've got it down to a science.  And by that I mean I have five go-to's that never fail during this season.  Trust me, you need this suckers in your closet.

[O N E] Leather Jacket.  Perfect to transition from day to night this fall. Bare with me as I obsessing over my early birthday present.  Thanks G & B!

Leather Jacket, Maurices | Croakies c/o Cotton Snaps | Boot Socks, Maurices

[T W O] Cardigan.  Oversized and bold prints seem to be the trend this fall.  And I'm not hating it.

[T H R E E] Game Day Apparel.  No matter if you'll be "chomping" at your competition [see: my boyfriend is a Gator fan], or chanting Roll Tide, dressing the part is definitely a must.  Not to mention it's always fun picking out how to support your team each weekend.  [see: thirty minutes to get ready above].  My personal picks:

+ These game day, gingham croakies.  Just because the temperature is dropping doesn't mean the sun won't still be shining.  No one has time to be squinting and shielding their eyes during the big game.  These croakies are the way to go this football season.

+ Baseball tee.  Comfy & cute; all while supporting your team.  Touchdown!  #punintended.

[F O U R] Boot Socks.  No time for frozen piggies when you're busy carving pumpkins, finding your way through a corn maze, or snuggling up fireside.  Keep those toes warm with boot socks!  Plus they have the cutest pairs this year.

[F I V E] Boots.  Does this really even need a description?  I think not.  Although it would be pretty silly to have boot socks without boots.

What are your fall go-to's?  What would you add to my "fall essentials" list?

  19. Yes, to all of these! I need to go shopping for new boot socks...I'm pretty sure my sister took all of mine. haha! Not on purpose of course...I give her a lot of my clothes that I get rid of and they probably made it into the bag by mistake.

  21. Boots, heck yeah! I was really lucky and could wear them year-round in England most of the time, (although it felt a bit silly sometimes to have knee high boots on in July) - it's been way too hot back in NY the last couple of months though so I'm psyched that I can pull them out again!

  25. Thanks so much Samantha. I was definitely questioning it when I first put it together, but I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.

  26. As much as I love boots, I would definitely miss having the break of Summer weather and flip flops. It would be SO crazy to me to be wearing them in July. Yay for getting to wear them this fall!

  29. I did. I had prepare myself for the people that may be there, but there ended up only being like 5 people the whole time. I can't believe you haven't been to the stadium yet! I'm still in search of good places to take pictures here.

  30. It was really warm here on Thursday (high 70s) and then today it's in the 50's...so that's the mountains for ya. But I'm totally excited about boot season as well.

  32. My hair took for FOREVER to do; I thought top knots were supposed to be quick and easy. But I have to admit I was pleased with how it turned out, now if only I can figure out how to master it much quicker. :)
