Eat Drink & Be Mary: A Weekend for the Books

A Weekend for the Books

Y'all this weekend was a weekend I'd relive over and over again.  A weekend for the books for sure.  The weekend was spent one of my favorite cities with my favorite people.

Side note: I have decided I could never live in the city, way too much traffic for this small town girl.

A birthday celebration at its finest if you ask me.  Olive Garden.  Date Nights.  Birthday Dinners.  Netflix.  Target.  Bull Riding.  Downtown.  Dunkin Donuts.  Pumpkin Carving.  Bagels.  Coffee Runs.  NY Style Pizza.  My favorite people all in one place.

Does it get any better?

Ninja Turtle Balloon.

There you have it, my weekend in pictures.  Now I'd love you forever if you found the rewind button and pointed me that direction.  What'd you do this weekend?

ps.  I'm taking over the The Blog Baton Instagram account today @theblogbaton.  Come catch up with the girl behind the blog!  For more information on how you can take over the account check out this post.

  1. Looks like a very fun weekend! I always enjoy those special weekends I get to have with Wade (my long-distance boyfriend) as well--every moment seems to be even MORE special just because of the fact that we don't' get to spend as much time together as normal couples. I can relate about the "never being a city girl" thing too. I can't handle too many people or too much traffic...it stresses this introvert girl out. Ha! Have a great week, Mary!

  3. I just adore that you started this post with "Y'all." I lovelovelove small towns and found myself living with 2+ hours of commuting each day - definitely not my cup of tea!

  10. The food was so so yummy! Sweet potatoes are my weakness, and I don't know any good places to get them around me. Such a struggle ;)

  13. Oh my goodness, I think I would cry with that commute. I just wasn't made to live where there is city traffic, no thank you! Thanks for stopping by :)

  14. It was so much fun Mariel! We use the $4 stencil books from Walmart, and it makes the carving process THAT much easier (plus it comes with the carving tools). I just couldn't do that traffic, more power to ya!

  15. Oh, are weekends the best spent with your man!? Traffic is just a no, no...luckily my man agrees about living in the city. We just weren't meant for it. Do you and Wade get to see each other very often?
