10 Verses for Women

When the going gets rough, we turn to God.  But it's easy to forget to turn to God when the days seem easy too.

To praise him in the highs and lows.  To call out to him no matter the situation.

I hope these find you where you are and touch your heart.  May the word of God speak through this post.

Proverbs 31:25 She is clothed with strength and dignity and laughs without fear of the future.

Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God.  I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!"

1 Timothy 3:11 Women must likewise be dignified, not malicious gossips, but temperate, faithful in all things.

Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, But a women who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.

Matthew 19:26 And looking at them Jesus said to them, "With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Proverbs 15:1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Proverbs 31:26 So opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.

Phillipians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always: [and] again I say, Rejoice.

In the past I've found that women that come across my blog (with God's hands guiding them I'm sure), have a true need for lists of verses to turn too.  I am not a scripture genius, but if you are needing a verses on a specific situation I can do my best to look for you.  Please feel free to let me know if there is anything I can pray for you.

Searching for more?  I suggest checking out this book 100 Favorite Bible Verses for Women.  I have only started this book, and already love how it gives verses that apply to women and how God wants us to live our lives.  Each verses also comes with a small devotion.  I got mine for $13 at Walmart (but it's a Hallmark book); it's listed on Amazon here.

Also, check out Mariel's bible study devotional-link up today, we're using the book Lord, Teach Me to Study the Bible by Kay Arthur (on sale now, here).  And because I'm a slacker and couldn't find my book until Wed. I'm not linking up, but looking forward to seeing everyone's post and joining next week.

  13. Definitely powerful. I often find that I'll come across the perfect verse at just the right time, and that is an act of God alone. Fellowship also helps me grow my relationship as well, and searching for a bible study will fulfill that need I believe.

  19. Girl you and me both. I need reminders like these daily. One of the reasons I enjoy making these posts is it gives me a list of verses to come back and read. The other, of course, with the hope that'll it will reach many eyes that need to hear God's word.

  24. I'm definitely no expert, but my advice would be to find a list of verses for women and start there or the book that I mention above. The book above has 100 verses for women with mini-devotionals that discuss the verse that may be helpful to you.
