Eat Drink & Be Mary: If You Knew Me in High School

If You Knew Me in High School

High school.  Oh high school, how I disliked you.  But a lot of what happened in high school has formed me into who I am now.  God bless the broken road, right?

+ you'd find a number of binders filled with doodles and my name scribbled all over

+ you would know why I am so adamantly against marijuana smoking.  bottom line; your priorities are outta check when high.

+ you would know why I don't let guys tell me who I can and can't be friends with.

+ you'd want to slap me at times.

+ you'd know why I am so strong willed.

+you see that even then all I wanted to do was become a SAHM.

+ you would shake your head, and think "what is she doing with that guy"; several times.

+ you'd know why I had trust issues for several years.

+ you would know that I have the cutest maltese puppy.

+ you would think, does that girl own any clothes other than men's sweatshirts and baggy sweatpants.

+ you would've heard about the time my boyfriend had a his friend break up with me (for him) through a text message.

...and the time I got into an accident, flipping my car off an embankment.

+ you'd know why I never fell for a "pretty boy" again.

+ you'd know why I don't take friendships for granted, and why I value true friendships over many friendships.

+ you would know when I learned to pick myself up of the floor and to stand up for myself, so that when others saw a stubborn girl a little too strong willed when it came to boyfriends; you'd see a teenager with her guard up.

+ you would think, does she have a type?

+ you would've been there to witness a friendship that would last a life time begin.

+ you'd see that I got my love of pictures from my mom.

+ you would know that I once burnt easy mac, resulting with huge smoke clouds coming from the microwave.

+ you would understand why I value honesty, and how thankful I am to have found a man I can trust and believe in 100%

+ you would know what it took to make me into the person I am today.

"Your COLLEGE friend may know who you are, but your HIGH SCHOOL friends know why you are like that."

What is one thing I would know about you if I would've known you in high school?  ...and while we're on the topic of High School head on over to September FARM to see 14 things I'd rather do than go back to High School.

I missed the link up (as always) but check out other's posts here

  2. This isn't about high school but I have a Maltese and I was wondering if you had any tips for helping out with tear stains. Thanks!

  3. I am in total agreement with you! I NEVER want to go back to high school. It's not that I had a terrible experience, but life SO MUCH better now!

  4. Your dog is so so so so so cute!!! You would know why I am leery of people in general as well as why I have such a deep, deep love for Sprite and Skittles.

  5. High school was one of those things in life that I'm glad I did once, but I wouldn't want to do over again. If you'd known me in high school, you probably would have wondered how in the world I was ever going to get an actual job since all I ever did in read. (Answer: get a job that requires you to read!)

  6. I love posts that I get to learn more about the blogger :) If you'd known me in high school, you would know how I couldn't wait to escape (and graduated as a Junior).

  7. Oh I agree..High school is a no going back zone. I am glad I went through all that I did, because of where I am in life. But I would not want to do it again. Loved this post, such a great way to get to know you!

  8. I can't believe your ex had his friend break up with you for him! Oh gosh! I would NEVER go back to high school, ew ew ew! I had a very long term terrible boyfriend back then and watched friends go through abusive relationships not being able to help me.

It makes me so happy each time you leave a comment. I love connecting with my readers! Happy blogging friends.
