Eat Drink & Be Mary: Fall Date Night Ideas

Fall Date Night Ideas

Date night is my favorite night of the week.  Whether it's a long distance date night or the real deal doesn't matter.  I love me some QT with my main squeeze.  And lucky me, Thomas and I have several weekends planned to meet int the middle for a weekend together, this fall.  Including this weekend eek!

All this talk of fall has got me thinking of some fun and cheap fall date night ideas.  I already know which ones T + I will be doing this year, but with four hours between us I know we won't be able to do them all.  But I couldn't let these ideas go to waste, so I wanted to share them with y'all.  And of course I'll keep them in mind for the future.  What ideas would you add to my list?

1. Coffee / Hot Cocoa Date

2. Carve a pumpkin

3. Bonfire with S'mores

4. Sit by the fire place with a blanket and drink hot cocoa

5. Go to a pumpkin patch/apple orchard

8. Go fishing

9. Star-gaze (and go "camping" in your backyard)

  5. These are all great ideas! I personally love taking walks in the fall, especially with warm drink in hand! My husband and I have been enjoying walks around town with the cooler air!

  6. Fall date nights are my absolute favorite!!!

  7. Ahh I totally wrote this post idea down the other day and you beat me to it! haha Great list! Fall is my favorite time of year and I always drag my husband to the pumpkin patch. This year, we will definitely have to include Hampton. :)

  8. So cute!! I love these ideas. I would add a chili cookoff/making it together.

  11. So, fall is my favorite season and it's so romantic. But you're missing one amazing date night: A Haunted House. My boyfriend met 3 years ago at the one we work at every october and it's how we started dating (our anniversary is halloween!!). It's fun to just get crazy and scared and close to each other while also laughing a ton! It's a must.

  12. I would seriously murder someone to get a drive in movie theatre in my town. Seriously. What could be more fun than making our with your hubby in the backseat of your car?

  13. I love your list of ideas! Perfect weather for all of those things! The only things I would add would be a haunted house and/or scary movie date at home

  14. I just did a similar post. Love these ideas!!

  15. Hahahah some of these things we do without even considering them a date, aka tailgating for our favorite sports team. Fall is definitely my favorite time of year, and I love doing as many activities as we can before winter sets in!

Found your blog on the Let's Be Friends Blog Hop, and I really love your blog! Would love for you to check out mine too Newest follower here :D

  16. Love this list! my boyfriend and i are long distance right now too and it's so tough sometimes! we squeeze as much stuff in as we can when he's home or i'm visiting! haha

  17. It's definitely tough, but of course worth it. But I know how you feel...I'm always trying to schedule in as many things as I can. And then time always goes by way too fast!!

  18. Oh yes I definitely agree! But being long distance we make the most out of the time we have, and consider many things a date when we may not if we were always together. Fall is my favorite too; unfortunatey, it gets too cold too fast here! Squeezing in all we can :)

  19. I'd love to check them out! What's the link for your post?

  20. Great ideas...for another couple. I'm such a wimp, I can't stand anything scary. It freaks me out and gives me nightmares. Told ya I was a wimp!

However, I know that sooo many couples would love to do this each fall.

  21. Haha! My boyfriend's town has a drive-in movie theater. I'm determined to go one day.

  22. Girl, I'm such a wimp. I can't do haunted all! I have to keep my eyes closed the whole time and just hold onto my boyfriend in front of me. Kinda makes it not worth the money, and even the noises still scare me. Wimp.

What a fun anniversary date! I feel like the options could be endless on Halloween. I'm totally impressed you can laugh through a haunted house!

  23. That's a fantastic idea. My boyfriend LOVES to cook, and I love eating--match made in heaven right here ;) Not to mention we discovered an amazing chili recipe last year!

  24. I just hate when that happens. But hopefully you'll still write one so I can get more ideas! Can't wait to check it out.

Pumpkin patches are always so fun. Since I'm just now responding to these comments (thanks to my switch to disqus), I saw the picture of Hampton at the patch...too cute!!

It makes me so happy each time you leave a comment. I love connecting with my readers! Happy blogging friends.
