Eat Drink & Be Mary: The Sun, Sand & a Drink in My Hand

The Sun, Sand & a Drink in My Hand

Every one has it.  Their favorite summer time drink.  And I'm here to share mine.  This is actually a recent discovery that I've fallen in love with.  Perfectly bubbly & summery at the same time.  Pineapple Orange Sangria.  A recipe fit for a hot summer afternoon.

Sangria.  I'm pretty sure it's the drink of summertime.  If it's not well then it should be.  Perfect for a get together to cool everyone off.  And so refreshing too.  So it's settled, the official drink of summer.  Sangria.

Ingredients (for all):
2 lemons
2 limes
2 oranges
1 can of Pineapple Juice  (46 fl oz)

 For the adults:
 1 bottle of white wine
1 bottle of champagne

For the kids:
2 bottles of Lemon-Lime Seltzer

Instructions:
Squeeze fruit into a pitcher.  Then slice thinly and place in pitcher as well (optional).
Pour in can of pineapple juice, bottle of wine and champagne.  Stir.
Let the mixture chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
Garnish with a slice of your fruit of choice, for looks of course.
Serve over ice and add a cute straw.  Enjoy.

For the kids, sub the alcohol (obviously ;)) for a bottle of the lemon-lime seltzer.  Then add the second bottle to taste.

Doesn't this sound delicious?  In less than a week I'll be livin' life like Jake Owens would want "the sun, the sand and a drink in my hand".  The drink mentioned above of course.  Life's better at the beach, but until then I'll just sip this deliciousness, close my eyes and pretend I'm there.  What about y'all what drink takes you back to the beach?  What's your favorite summer drink?
