Eat Drink & Be Mary: Eat Drink & Wear Green

Eat Drink & Wear Green

St. Patty's Day is less than a week away.  Although it's not my most favorite holiday, I am excited to be celebrating it by wearing green and possibly whipping up a couple lucky treats.  I remember in the first grade my teacher made us green eggs for St. Pattys day (as in green eggs & ham), and little leprechauns would trash our classroom while we were gone.  Sneaky little dudes.  It was pure awesomeness, unfortunately growing up the holiday has lost a little of it's magic but I refuse to not have a little fun this year.

Every year I remember it's St. Pattys day on the day of and have to scramble to find something green to wear, so I don't get pinched.  Leprechauns may or may not be real, but I refuse to be pinched all day.  So this year I planned ahead...

I usually hate stripes and avoid them at all costs, its proven that horizontal stripes make a person look wider.  But I love this dress stripes and all.  Do you find yourself avoiding stripes?

Man am I pale!! The necklace and earring set I got from INPINK with my $20 giftcard from a giveaway.  I love them, and guarantee they well be worn all. the. time. this spring and summer.

Do you struggle to find green every year around this time?
Will you be celebrating St. Pattys day?
Did leprechauns come to your classroom in elementary school?

  1. I love this St. Patty's day look! Yes, I also struggle this time of year with wardrobe. My heart wants to wear light cardigans and flats, but my body wants to wear winter puffy coats and boots :)

  3. I usually find a sticker or something. I have a little green in my wardrobe, but nine times out of ten, I forget and end up sticking something random on myself that has green on it. lol. Maybe it'll be different this year!

  8. That maxi dress is so cute on you. How tall are you? I'm about 5'6 and I feel too short to wear maxis.

  10. Such a cute dress and I love that you paired it with a denim jacket. I do that all the time when it's not quite warm enough to wear a dress.
