M&M Blondies

 My boyfriend is a sucker for anything sweet, especially chocolate.  When given the choice: should bake something before I go home this weekend or after, he responds with, "How about...tonight?"  Uh.....  Luckily, I keep my shelves stocked with all my baking necessities--you never know when you're gonna need to release a little stress & whip up a little fattening treat!  So, I whipped open my Pinterest and got to searching.  I recently had pinned Halloween themed blondies; however, the holiday passed me by before I knew it and I had run outta time.  So obviously I was beyond ecstatic to make a blondie of sorts.  I had recently picked up Christmas colored M&Ms for my boyfriend.

Sidebar, I oddly enough do NOT like chocolate at all.  I know, it's a sin for a woman to not like chocolate.  But I don't, never have, never will.
        *Disclaimer: I will be caught eating the occasional Twix, I think that it's the carmel-nuggety goodness that cancel out the chocolate's yuckiness.

Anyways, I decided to make the most scrumptious (so I'm told) M&M Blondies.  I know there are plenty of recipes out there, but this recipe seems to work the best for me and always turns out great!  The great thing about this recipe is that you can take those Christmas M&Ms, do a little switcheroo with any other holiday M&Ms, and BAM! you're ready to make these delicious little treats for any holiday occasion.


M&M Blondies --revised
M&M BLONDIES
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter-melted
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups M&Ms 


Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Spray non-stick spray into a 8x8 pan.
Mix brown sugar and melted butter in a medium mixing bowl until completely combined.  Add in eggs and vanilla.  In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder and salt.  Slowly add in the dry ingredients to the mixture.  Stirring throughout. Fold in 1 cup of M&Ms.  Pour into the greased 8x8 pan.  Bake blondies on 350 for 20-25 minutes or until edges are golden brown.  Eat and Enjoy!
